Anthony Smith, the UFC light heavyweight contender known as "Lionheart," entered a not guilty plea following his arrest in July, with a court status hearing now scheduled for September 21 after a previously planned hearing was cancelled.

Smith, 38, is an American fighter out of Factory X who competes in the light heavyweight division. He carries a professional record of 38-22-0 and has been one of the more durable and experienced figures in the 205-pound weight class over the course of his career. Standing six-foot-four with a 76-inch reach, Smith fights out of an orthodox stance and averages 3.19 significant strikes landed per minute with a striking accuracy of 49 percent. He also contributes on the grappling side, averaging 0.6 submission attempts per 15 minutes.
