A middleweight bout between Baisangur Susurkaev and Ryan Gandra is reportedly being targeted for UFC 335 on December 12. The pairing has not been officially announced by the promotion, so the matchup remains unconfirmed.
Susurkaev arrives with an unbeaten 12-0 record at age 25. The orthodox fighter stands six-foot-two and carries a 79-inch reach, a 201 cm advantage that gives him length to work with. His numbers point to a well-rounded profile: he lands 4.56 significant strikes per minute at 59 percent accuracy, and he averages 2.76 takedowns and 0.7 submission attempts per 15 minutes.
Gandra, nicknamed "Problema," is 11-1 at age 31. The orthodox fighter is six-foot-one with a 74-inch reach. His output is considerably higher than that of his reported opponent. Gandra lands 10.51 significant strikes per minute at 49 percent accuracy. His takedown and submission attempt rates both sit at zero per 15 minutes, which marks him as a pure striker.
Why it matters
- Both fighters carry strong records, with Susurkaev unbeaten and Gandra holding just one loss, so the winner would add a notable result to his résumé.
- The matchup sets up a clear stylistic contrast: Susurkaev's grappling and efficiency against Gandra's high-volume striking.
- Susurkaev holds a reach advantage of five inches, which could shape the distance battle on the feet.
The fight would take place at UFC 335 on December 12. Until the promotion makes it official, the booking should be treated as a target rather than a done deal.
