David Onama may have tipped his hand on his next booking. The ranked featherweight reportedly posted what appeared to be the UFC 335 fight card on Instagram before deleting it, and the card seemingly showed a bout against unbeaten prospect Tommy McMillen. The matchup has not been officially confirmed. The event is reportedly set for December 12 in Las Vegas.
Onama, 32, is 14-3 and ranked 15th at featherweight. The American trains with Factory X and stands five-foot-eleven with a 74-inch reach. He lands 5.07 significant strikes per minute at 50 percent accuracy and averages 1.05 takedowns per 15 minutes. His most recent recorded fight was a first-round KO/TKO loss to Steve Garcia on November 1, 2025, which followed unanimous-decision wins over Giga Chikadze and Roberto Romero.

McMillen, 28, is 12-0 and fights out of Fight Ready. The orthodox American is six feet tall with the same 74-inch reach as Onama. He lands 11.13 significant strikes per minute at 47 percent accuracy, more than double Onama's volume, and adds 1.58 takedowns and 0.9 submission attempts per 15 minutes. His most recent recorded fight was a unanimous-decision win over Marwan Rahiki on September 12, 2026. Before that he stopped Alberto Montes in the third round on July 18 and Manolo Zecchini in the first round on April 4, both by KO/TKO.
Why it matters
- McMillen is a perfect 12-0 with three straight wins, two by stoppage. A win over a ranked opponent would be the biggest test of his unbeaten run.
- Onama has not fought in our records since the Garcia loss, a gap of more than a year by the time of the reported date. A win would put him back in the top-15 mix.
- The numbers point to a volume-versus-accuracy contrast: McMillen throws and lands far more per minute, while Onama is slightly more accurate. With identical reach and a three-centimeter height edge to McMillen, neither man has an obvious range advantage.
Neither fighter nor the UFC has confirmed the bout, and the card shown in the deleted post may not be final.
