This is a reach ranking, not a pound-for-pound list. Heavyweights occupy 11 of the 20 places because larger frames tend to produce longer arm spans. Height still doesn't determine the order: Pavlovich is four inches shorter than Despaigne, yet their listed reach is the same.

Four fighters share the stored all-time lead at 84 inches (213 cm). The status column uses AgentMMA's rule, not a fighter's public retirement language. A UFC bout within 548 days or a booked UFC bout makes a fighter active here.

How this list is counted

Reach means the arm span recorded on a fighter's UFC Stats profile. It runs from fingertip to fingertip, rather than from shoulder to fist. AgentMMA keeps the listed inch value and shows its metric conversion beside it.

The active table includes fighters with a UFC bout in the last 548 days or a booked bout in the database. That fixed rule avoids guessing from interviews, roster pages or long gaps between fights. It also means “active” here may differ from a promotional ranking.

The all-time table uses the same stored profile field. There is no minimum number of UFC fights. A fighter needs a recorded reach and at least one UFC bout represented in the database.

Older lists can disagree for a concrete reason. UFC promotional copy before Despaigne's debut called his reach 87 inches, while his current UFC athlete profile lists 84. UFC also published 84.5 inches for Jones and Struve in an older record feature. This database field stores whole inches, so the table keeps 84.

Some historical lists put Dan Christison first at 85 inches. His UFC Stats profile has no reach value, so he can't enter a ranking built from that field. The UFC's public Record Book doesn't publish a reach category either. It tracks bout, time, striking and grappling records instead.

UFC results alone determine UFC records and last-fight dates. A bout elsewhere can change a fighter's professional record when that label appears, but it never changes a UFC figure here. Overturned results are stored as no-contests.

What reach tells you

Reach is a measurement, not an advantage by itself. A longer-armed fighter can jab from farther away and frame in the clinch. That works only when stance, timing and footwork preserve the right range. Shorter opponents can erase the space with entries, pressure or takedowns.

The gap between two fighters matters more than either number alone. An 84-inch reach stands out against a 74-inch rival, but less so in a heavyweight matchup. Weight class, stance and tactics supply the context. Use this page to find physical outliers, then open their profiles for specific matchup details.

Notable names on the list

Robelis Despaigne

Robelis Despaigne shares the active lead at 84 inches (213 cm) and stands 6'7". His measurement needs the qualifier above because UFC preview copy once used 87 inches. AgentMMA follows the current profile field, which is the consistent source for every row.

Sergei Pavlovich

Sergei Pavlovich reaches the same 84 inches despite standing 6'3". That nine-inch gap between height and reach is why raw height can't replace a wingspan measurement. His 9-3-0 UFC record is also the strongest among the two active co-leaders.

Jon Jones

Jon Jones is tied for the stored all-time lead, but he is inactive in this table. UFC announced his retirement in June 2025. His last UFC fight in the database remains November 16, 2024, so he doesn't qualify under the 548-day active rule.

Stefan Struve

Stefan Struve pairs an 84-inch reach with the tallest frame among the four leaders. His last UFC fight was October 24, 2020, and the UFC athlete page marks him as retired. He shows why this table separates all-time names from today's roster.

Reach can shape distance, but it doesn't settle a matchup. The separate UFC reach advantage analysis tests what happens across fights instead of ranking body measurements.

How solid is this data?

The active population is 737 UFC fighters with a recorded reach. The bout window runs from March 11, 1994, through October 17, 2026. AgentMMA computed this snapshot on October 22, 2026.

The main limit is the source measurement. UFC profiles list reach in whole inches, and fighters are rarely measured again after joining. A profile can therefore preserve an old number or omit one entirely. Metric values here are conversions, not separate measurements.

Only UFC bouts count toward UFC figures. Results follow UFC Stats as stored in AgentMMA's database, and an overturned result counts as a no-contest. Fights in other promotions matter only for a field clearly labeled pro record.

This maintained page changes after new results alter a UFC record, a booking changes active status, or a stored reach is added or corrected. Until then, it remains a dated snapshot rather than a claim that measurements never move.

FAQ

Who has the longest reach in UFC right now?

Robelis Despaigne and Sergei Pavlovich share the active lead at 84 inches (213 cm). That answer is current to AgentMMA's October 22, 2026 snapshot.

Which UFC fighters have the longest reach?

Among active fighters, Despaigne and Pavlovich lead at 84 inches. Kennedy Nzechukwu, Oumar Sy and Tallison Teixeira follow at 83 inches (211 cm).

What is the longest reach in UFC history?

AgentMMA's profile-based table has four fighters at 84 inches (213 cm): Jon Jones, Robelis Despaigne, Sergei Pavlovich and Stefan Struve.

Why do some sites say the UFC record is 84.5, 85 or 87 inches?

They use different sources or older measurements. AgentMMA uses the whole-inch value stored on UFC Stats profiles; missing values, such as Dan Christison's, are excluded.

Is reach the same as height in UFC stats?

No. Height measures floor to head, while reach measures arm span. Sergei Pavlovich is 6'3" but has the same 84-inch reach as 6'7" Robelis Despaigne.

Does the longest reach make someone the better fighter?

No. Reach can help manage distance, but timing, footwork, defense, wrestling and decision-making decide how much that measurement matters.
