Does the study prove that heavier fighters punch harder?

The heavier fighter won 33 bouts, while the lighter fighter won 11. Across 32 KO/TKO results, heavier fighters scored 24 and lighter fighters scored eight; the average weight gap was 16.85 kg.
Those gaps are far larger than normal differences inside a UFC division. The sample also mixes six women's bouts with 38 men's bouts, so one unusual promotion can't settle a UFC matchup question.
Treat this as supporting evidence showing what happened when major size differences were allowed. It doesn't provide a conversion rule for each extra pound.
