Khadis Ibragimov left the UFC in 2020 with an 0-4 record over 13 months during the pandemic, dropping from 8-0 to 8-4 at age 24. Since then, he has compiled approximately a 13-3-3 record across 19 fights under various rule sets and reports earning four to five times more per fight than in the UFC, now making an estimated 5-6 million rubles per bout. This makes him arguably the best Russian fighter at reviving his career post-UFC compared to others like Armen Petrosyan, Ruslan Magomedov, and others who struggled after leaving the promotion. On April 12, Ibragimov debuts in ACA against undefeated heavyweight Daniil Matsola (7-0), who is 12 kg lighter. The same ACA 202 card features Tony Johnson, who has defeated Derrick Lewis, Tim Sylvia, and Alexander Volkov, facing Kirill Kornilov.
