Dana White revealed how he arranged an additional fight for the upcoming White House event during UFC 327. White asked Derrick Lewis if he wanted to fight at the White House, and Lewis immediately agreed. White then instructed matchmaker Mick Maynard to find a fight for Lewis, initially planning to discuss it the following week. However, after Josh Hocutt's fight, Joe Rogan asked on commentary if there was room on the White House card. White immediately sent Maynard to speak with Hocutt, who was being loaded into an ambulance at the time, and Hocutt agreed to the fight.
