Dana White shared the story of how they arranged an additional fight for the upcoming White House event during UFC 327, literally organizing it from the arena within an hour. White explained he asked a fighter if he wanted to compete at the White House event and received immediate agreement, with the fighter asking White to thank the president. White then instructed matchmaker Mick Maynard to find a fight for Derrick Lewis. Initially planning to discuss it the following week, the situation changed when Joe Rogan asked on air during the broadcast if there was room on the White House card. White then grabbed Maynard and sent him to speak with Josh Hockit, who was being loaded into an ambulance at the time, and Hockit agreed to compete.
