Paulo Costa apologizes to Russian fans, clarifies Chimaev animosity

Paulo Costa issued an apology to Russian fans for comments made at a press conference where he said he hated Russians. He clarified that his animosity is directed specifically at Hamzat Chimaev, whom he referred to as "that Chechen gourmet," noting that Chimaev is more Chechen than Russian though they're the same country. Costa stated he loves Russians and knows several who live in Germany. He also mentioned he has now defeated two Russian fighters and hopes to make it three by fighting Chimaev. The apology followed backlash from his original remarks made during promotional duties.
