PFL Chicago delivered a night of decisive results on April 12, with several fighters making strong statements across both the main and preliminary cards.

Viviane Araujo extended her professional record to 13-7 with a unanimous decision victory over Shanna Young in the women's flyweight division. The 39-year-old Brazilian, ranked eighth in the division and representing Cerrado MMA, brought her trademark pressure to the contest. Araujo averages 3.84 significant strikes per minute at 47 percent accuracy and adds a wrestling dimension with 1.72 takedown attempts per 15 minutes. Young, known as "The Shanimal," entered the bout at 9-6 and trains out of Syndicate MMA. The 35-year-old American carries a 47 percent striking accuracy of her own and averaged 3.18 significant strikes per minute, but she was unable to find an answer over the course of the fight.

On the preliminary card, Alexander Romanov submitted Rodrigo Nascimento with a guillotine choke in round two, and Jena Bishop finished Borena Tsertsvadze with a rear-naked choke in the opening round. Omar El Dafrawy scored a first-round knockout over James Vick. Vick, nicknamed "The Texecutioner," came in at 13-5 and stands six-foot-three with a 76-inch reach, but the lanky veteran could not avoid the early finish.

The main card also produced three unanimous decisions at the top of the card. Mitch McKee defeated Sergio Pettis, Renat Khavalov handed Raufeon Stots a loss, and Gabriel Braga took a clear verdict over Chayden Leialoha.
