Khamzat Chimaev revealed he spent approximately $600,000 to $700,000 to build a wrestling gym for children in his home village in Chechnya. Chimaev stated he fights not only for himself but to help others, saying money gives him opportunities to assist people in his community. He mentioned he also helps with medical expenses when villagers call him. Chimaev defended his earning power, stating he makes millions from UFC and even more outside of fighting through sponsorships and business opportunities. He said he is living his dream and is grateful for what UFC pays him.
