Ray Longo, trainer of Merab Dvalishvili and Aljamain Sterling, has suggested the MMA community needs to discuss mental health issues, specifically referencing Jiri Prochazka's behavior. Longo mocked Prochazka's rituals of praying to Olympus, standing on his head, and drinking his own urine, stating that Prochazka's post-fight "mercy" claim was an excuse for simply making a mistake. Carlos Ulberg doubled down on criticism of Prochazka, calling the mercy narrative "complete nonsense" and claiming fear, not compassion, caused Prochazka's error. Ulberg stated Prochazka is playing to the audience and did not even approach him after the fight. Additionally, Donald Trump reportedly told Paulo Costa after his fight that he is "too handsome to be a fighter." Tension appears to be growing at City Kickboxing gym between top fighters.
