Andrey Pulyaev has stated that Azamat Murzakanov's cardio preparation was the reason for his defeat at UFC 327. Pulyaev expressed disappointment that Murzakanov lost on his birthday. He also questioned how Paulo Costa recovered so well between the second and third rounds, noting that Costa appeared very tired but came out fresh for the final round. Pulyaev, who describes himself as not being a cardio machine either, wanted Murzakanov to win the fight.
