Ray Longo, trainer of Merab Dvalishvili and Aljamain Sterling, has called for discussion of mental illness in MMA following Jiri Prochazka's post-fight comments. Longo criticized Prochazka's claim that he showed mercy in his loss, stating that the fighter simply made a major mistake rather than showing compassion. Carlos Ulberg also disputed Prochazka's mercy narrative, saying Prochazka was motivated by fear and is playing to the audience. Ulberg noted that Prochazka didn't approach him after the fight and believes everything Prochazka does is designed for public reaction. Ulberg stated that Prochazka won't get a rematch and that Magomed Ankalaev will defeat him convincingly. The post also notes apparent tension at City Kickboxing gym between Israel Adesanya and Ulberg, who haven't been seen together recently and don't acknowledge each other's performances.
