Paulo Costa has expressed strong dissatisfaction after Josh Hockit received a double bonus for his fight with Curtis Blaydes while Costa received no bonus at all. Costa argued that he deserved a Performance of the Night bonus for his stoppage victory over an undefeated Russian opponent with a 16-0 record. The Brazilian stated he punished his opponent severely for three rounds before finishing the fight, while Hockit merely executed a masterclass against Blaydes. Costa revealed he was so upset that he contacted Dana White and Hunter Campbell directly, writing that he felt it was an injustice that gave him terrible feelings. He expressed hope and trust that UFC leadership would review and reverse the decision, adding that he wants to destroy everything out of frustration.
