Both fighters were loaded onto gurneys and taken to the nearest hospital, which was about 30 minutes away from the arena. Howitt was positioned behind Blaydes on his gurney, and the setup prevented Blaydes from turning around to see him. Despite not being able to see each other, Blaydes could hear Howitt talking to him during the ride.
