Paulo Costa expressed strong dissatisfaction with the UFC's decision to award Josh Hokit a double bonus instead of him. Costa argued that while Hokit had a great fight with Curtis Blaydes, Costa's finish of his previously undefeated Russian opponent (16-0) was more deserving of the performance bonus. Costa revealed he was so upset that he contacted Dana White and Hunter Campbell directly. He stated the decision made him feel terrible and that he hopes UFC leadership will reconsider. Costa believes he delivered three rounds of heavy damage before securing the stoppage, which should have warranted the bonus over Hokit's performance.
