UFC President Dana White unveiled details about the special arena configuration for the upcoming UFC event at the White House celebrating America's 250th anniversary. White explained that the production team designed a stage being built in Europe that will be shipped to Philadelphia and then trucked to Washington DC to be erected on the South Lawn of the White House, with the iconic building as the backdrop for fights. The entire event is being funded by the UFC without any taxpayer money. Over 70,000 people have already applied for tickets through UFCfreedom250.com, with free tickets available at the Ellipse park across from the arena. More than 100,000 fans are expected across the two-day fan festival, which will include press conferences, weigh-ins, and a performance by Zac Brown Band. White emphasized this event transcends politics and is purely a celebration of the United States. The buildup includes viewing parties on a large screen and appearances by celebrity guests.
