Dana White has shown how the arena will be constructed for the upcoming UFC event at the White House celebrating America's 250th anniversary. The production team is building a custom stage in Europe that will be shipped to Philadelphia and then trucked to Washington D.C. to be erected on the South Lawn with the White House as the backdrop. White emphasized that UFC is funding the entire event without using taxpayer money, calling it a gift to America. Over 70,000 people have already applied for tickets on UFCfreedom250.com, with free tickets available for the Ellipse park area across from the arena. The two-day fan festival will accommodate over 100,000 fans and include a press conference, weigh-ins, the Zac Brown Band performing, celebrity guests, and a big-screen fight viewing area. White stressed the event is about celebrating the United States, not politics.
