Dana White has shown how the arena will look for the UFC event at the White House, planned as part of America's 250th anniversary celebration. The stage is being constructed in Europe and will be shipped to Philadelphia before being trucked to Washington D.C., where it will be erected on the South Lawn with the White House as the backdrop. White emphasized that UFC is funding the entire event privately with no taxpayer money, calling it a gift to celebrate America's 250th birthday. Over 70,000 people have already applied for tickets on UFCfreedom250.com. Free tickets will be available for the Ellipse, a large park across from the arena. More than 100,000 fans are expected to attend events over the fight weekend, which will include a two-day fan festival, press conference, weigh-ins, and a performance by the Zac Brown Band. White stressed the event is about celebrating America, not politics, regardless of political affiliation.
