Dana White has provided detailed information about the UFC event planned for the White House lawn in celebration of America's 250th anniversary. The arena is being constructed in Europe, will be shipped to Philadelphia, then transported by truck to Washington D.C. where it will be erected on the South Lawn with the White House as the backdrop. White emphasized that UFC is funding the entire event with no taxpayer money involved, calling it a gift to America's 250th birthday. Over 70,000 people have already applied for tickets through UFCfreedom250.com. The Ellipse park across from the arena will offer free tickets and can accommodate over 100,000 fans throughout the fight weekend. The event will include a two-day fan festival with press conference, weigh-ins, and performances by Zac Brown Band, plus celebrity guests and big-screen fight viewing.
