Dana White has shown how the arena will look for the UFC event at the White House celebrating America's 250th anniversary. The octagon is being constructed in Europe before being shipped to Philadelphia and then trucked to Washington, D.C., where it will be erected on the South Lawn with the White House as the backdrop. White emphasized that UFC is funding the entire event without taxpayer money as a gift to America. Over 70,000 people have already applied for tickets on UFCfreedom250.com. Free tickets will be available at the Ellipse, a park across from the arena that can accommodate over 100,000 fans. The fight weekend will include a two-day fan festival with press conference, weigh-ins, and performances by Zac Brown Band, along with celebrity guests and fight viewing on a large screen.
