Dana White detailed plans for the UFC event at the White House celebrating America's 250th anniversary. The arena is being constructed in Europe, will ship to Philadelphia, then truck to Washington DC where it will be erected on the South Lawn with the White House as backdrop. White emphasized UFC is funding the entire production without taxpayer money as a gift to America. Over 70,000 people have already applied for tickets at UFCfreedom250.com. Free tickets will be available for the Ellipse park across from the arena, with over 100,000 fans expected across the fight weekend. The two-day fan festival will include press conference, weigh-ins, and performances by Zac Brown Band, with celebrity guests and big screen fight viewing. White stressed the event transcends politics and celebrates the United States regardless of political affiliation.
