Topuria reveals he learned of Makhachev injury hours before White House event

Ilia Topuria says he is not disappointed that his fight against Islam Makhachev at the White House fell through. Topuria revealed that just a couple of hours before the full card announcement at the White House, he knew he would be fighting Makhachev and expected it to be announced. He then received a call saying Makhachev was injured and he would fight Max Holloway instead. Topuria went to bed thinking he would face Makhachev but was woken by numerous phone calls informing him of the change. Despite the setback, Topuria expressed belief that the fight should happen sooner or later.
