Topuria reveals White House fight with Makhachev was hours from announcement

Ilia Topuria disclosed that he was just hours away from the official announcement of his fight against Islam Makhachev at the White House event when plans changed. Topuria stated he went to sleep knowing he would face Makhachev, only to be woken by numerous phone calls informing him that Islam had suffered an injury. Instead, Topuria was told he would fight Max Holloway. Despite the last-minute change, Topuria says he is not disappointed and believes the Makhachev fight will happen eventually.
