Hamzat Chimaev jokes he won't kill Sean Strickland because it's haram

In an interview with Adam Zubairaev, Hamzat Chimaev was asked whether he would refuse to release a submission hold on Sean Strickland, requiring security to intervene. Chimaev jokingly responded that he doesn't want to kill a person because it's haram, or forbidden in Islam. When pressed whether he actually plans to kill Strickland, Chimaev clarified that they wouldn't let him kill his opponent anyway. He explained that on the street someone could die, but in the cage it's a sport with rules and protections.
