Joel Alvarez and Benoit Saint Denis have begun a joint training camp in Bayonne, France, under the coaching of Nicolas Otta. The two lightweights were originally scheduled to fight each other a year ago, but that bout never materialized. Now they are working together to help prepare for their upcoming fights. Alvarez is scheduled to face Yaroslav Amosov at UFC 328 on May 9th, while Saint Denis does not have a fight currently announced. According to Alvarez, Saint Denis reached out to arrange the training partnership and suggested he may be preparing for an opponent with a similar fighting style to Alvarez's, though he didn't reveal who.
