Journalist recalls Khabib's kindness at UFC 223 amid Lobov confrontation

Azamat Bostanov, now a fighter manager, has shared memories from UFC 223 when Khabib Nurmagomedov won the UFC title eight years ago. After Bostanov interviewed Artem Lobov following the famous confrontation, manager Ali Abdel-Aziz told him to stay away from their team. However, Khabib intervened, saying "This is our guy, he's just doing his work" and welcomed Bostanov. Bostanov also recalls 20-30 Dagestanis gathering at the hotel to protect Khabib from potential Conor McGregor provocations, and Zabit fighting with two broken fingers that he didn't report to avoid being pulled from the card. After the event, despite being exhausted, Khabib took time to photograph with fans and speak with everyone who came to his hotel room, even strangers making video calls.
