Journalist recalls Khabib's kindness after UFC 223 title win

Azamat Bostanov, now an MMA manager, shared memories from eight years ago when Khabib Nurmagomedov won the UFC lightweight championship at UFC 223 in Brooklyn. After Bostanov interviewed Artem Lobov following the pre-fight altercation with Khabib, manager Ali Abdel-Aziz told him to stay away from their team. However, Khabib intervened, putting his arm around Bostanov and telling Abdel-Aziz "This is our guy, he's just doing his job." Despite being exhausted after winning the title, Khabib took time to greet fans, pose for photos, and speak with well-wishers who crowded his hotel floor and room. Bostanov also recalled a chance encounter a year later when Khabib recognized him on the street and offered him a ride, demonstrating the champion's continued approachability despite his fame.
