ACA President Magomed Magomedov provided candid comments about drug testing in his promotion during an interview. He revealed that more fighters use performance-enhancing drugs than compete clean, and noted that fighters accepting bouts on short notice are typically clean because "they didn't have time to use anything." Magomedov explained that ACA gave fighters six months to clean their systems and allowed certain approved substances, and that while the promotion knows which fighters are using banned substances, it remains unclear how to handle violators. He stated that drug testing is expensive and that it would be easier if all Russian promotions collaborated on the issue, though he believes this is unlikely to happen. Magomedov expressed that he wanted to suspend violators for one year but the promotion is still deciding on its approach.
