Magomed Bubulatov, President of Absolute Championship Akhmat (ACA), has candidly acknowledged that a majority of fighters in the Russian promotion use performance-enhancing drugs. In an interview with Ushatayka, Bubulatov revealed that fighters who accept bouts on short notice are typically the cleanest, implying they have not had time to use banned substances. He stated that while ACA has implemented drug testing and given fighters six months to clear their systems, the practice remains widespread. Bubulatov noted that comprehensive drug testing is expensive and suggested all Russian promotions should collaborate on the issue, though he doubts this will happen. He is considering one-year suspensions for violators but has not finalized a policy, and is uncertain whether public disclosure of positive tests would be beneficial.
