ACA President Magomed Bubulatov candidly discussed drug testing in the promotion, revealing that more fighters test positive for banned substances than test clean. Bubulatov stated that fighters accepting bouts on short notice are typically clean because they haven't had time to use performance-enhancing drugs. The promotion gave fighters six months to clear banned substances from their systems and allowed some therapeutic medications. Bubulatov acknowledged that implementing comprehensive drug testing is expensive and suggested Russian promotions should collaborate on testing infrastructure, though he doubts this will happen. The organization is still deciding how to handle fighters who violate anti-doping policies, with year-long suspensions being considered.
