ACA President Magomed Bibulatov provided candid commentary on doping in his organization and Russian MMA more broadly. He stated that there are more fighters using performance-enhancing drugs than clean fighters in the league. Bibulatov noted that fighters who take bouts on short notice are typically clean because they have not had time to use anything. He explained that ACA attempted to implement drug testing, giving fighters six months to clean their systems while allowing some approved substances. The organization has data on which fighters use more or less banned substances. Bibulatov acknowledged that doping control is expensive and suggested Russian promotions should collaborate on testing, though he believes this is unlikely to happen. He mentioned considering one-year suspensions for violators but has not finalized a policy.
