ACA president Magomed Bubulatov candidly discussed doping issues in the organization during an interview with Ushatayka. He revealed that more fighters in ACA use performance-enhancing drugs than compete clean, and that fighters taking bouts on short notice are typically the cleanest because they "didn't have time to take anything." Bubulatov explained that ACA gave fighters six months to clear their systems and allowed certain performance-aiding substances when they began testing. He noted that testing each fighter is expensive and suggested Russian promotions should coordinate efforts, though he doubts they will. The promotion is still deciding whether to continue testing and how to handle violators, with one-year suspensions being considered.
