ACA President Magomedov admits majority of fighters use PEDs, testing too expensive

ACA President Magomed Magomedov candidly discussed the organization's doping control challenges in an interview with Ushatayka. He revealed that more fighters test positive for performance-enhancing drugs than those who test clean. Magomedov noted that fighters accepting short-notice bouts are typically clean because they don't have time to use banned substances. The promotion gave fighters six months to clear their systems and allowed some therapeutic substances when they first implemented testing. However, drug testing is expensive and Magomedov believes Russian promotions should unite to address the issue, though he doubts this will happen. The organization is still deciding whether to suspend violators for one year or continue current practices.
