ACA president Magomed Bibulatov candidly admitted that more fighters in the league use performance-enhancing drugs than compete clean. In an interview, he revealed that fighters taking bouts on short notice are typically clean because they haven't had time to use anything. Bibulatov stated the promotion began drug testing six months ago after giving fighters time to clean their systems and allowing certain therapeutic substances. He noted that replacement fighters consistently test cleanest. The promotion has records on all fighters but is unsure how to handle violators. Bibulatov emphasized that comprehensive testing is expensive and suggested Russian promotions should collaborate, though he doubts they will. He considered one-year suspensions for violators but has not implemented penalties yet.
