ACA president Magomed Bibulatov gave a frank interview about performance-enhancing drug use within the Russian promotion. Bibulatov stated that more fighters use PEDs than compete clean, and that fighters taking bouts on short notice are typically the cleanest because they haven't had time to use anything. The organization initially gave fighters six months to clear their systems and allowed some therapeutic substances. ACA hired personnel to conduct testing and has records on all fighters regarding their PED usage. However, Bibulatov indicated that comprehensive testing is extremely expensive and suggested Russian promotions should collaborate on anti-doping efforts, though he doubts other leagues will participate. The president is considering one-year suspensions for violators but has not finalized a policy on how to handle positive tests.
