ACA president Magomed Bibulatov made candid admissions about performance-enhancing drug use in the promotion during an interview. He stated that more fighters use banned substances than compete clean, and noted that short-notice replacement fighters tend to be cleaner because they haven't had time to use anything. Bibulatov revealed ACA has been conducting testing and has data on which fighters use the most prohibited drugs, though punishing violators remains complicated. He suggested Russian promotions should unite on anti-doping efforts but called testing expensive and inter-promotional cooperation unlikely. The league had given fighters six months to clean their systems and allowed some therapeutic substances.
