Lightweight Nikita Kulshin improved to 9-0 by knocking out Junior Melo in the opening round at LFA. The 26-year-old fighter from North Ossetia has now won all six of his LFA bouts over three years, with his previous four victories coming by decision. After the fight, Kulshin grabbed the microphone and called out the UFC, stating he is ready to step in on short notice at any time. He has been living in the United States for four years and trains at Kill Cliff gym.
