Lightweight Nikita Kulshin improved his record to 9-0 with a first-round knockout victory over Junior Melo at an LFA event. The 26-year-old from North Ossetia has been living in the United States for four years and now has six consecutive wins in LFA over three years. This was his second knockout finish in the promotion, following four straight decision victories. After the fight, Kulshin grabbed the microphone and called out the UFC, declaring he is ready to step in on short notice at any time. He trains at Kill Cliff gym.
