Lightweight Nikita Kulshin improved his record to 9-0 with an early first-round knockout of Junior Melo at LFA 231. This marks Kulshin's sixth consecutive victory in the LFA promotion over three years in the United States, where he has lived for four years. After winning his LFA debut by knockout, he had won four straight fights by decision before returning to the finish column. The 26-year-old from North Ossetia, who trains at Kill Cliff gym, called out the UFC in his post-fight interview, stating he is ready to take a fight on short notice at any time.
