Undefeated lightweight Nikita Kulshin improved to 9-0 by knocking out Junior Melo in the opening moments of the first round at an LFA event. The 26-year-old from North Ossetia, who has been living in the United States for four years and trains at Kill Cliff gym, has now won all six of his LFA fights over three years—five by decision and two by knockout including his LFA debut. After the victory, Kulshin took the microphone and called out the UFC, stating he is ready to step in on short notice at any time. Melo's record dropped to 15-9-1 with the loss.
