Gilbert Burns has officially retired from mixed martial arts. The announcement comes after Burns suffered his fifth consecutive loss, most recently being stopped by Mike Malott at UFC Winnipeg. Burns had not won a fight since April 2023. Over his UFC career, Burns compiled a record of 22-10, including notable victories and title challenges at welterweight. The Brazilian veteran was a former title contender and one of the division's top competitors for several years.
