Lightweight Nikita Kulshin improved to 9-0 by knocking out Junior Melo in the opening round at an LFA event. The 26-year-old fighter from North Ossetia, who has been living in the United States for four years, extended his perfect LFA record to 6-0 over three years. After winning his previous four LFA fights by decision and his LFA debut by knockout, Kulshin returned to the finish column. In his post-fight interview, Kulshin grabbed the microphone and called out the UFC, declaring he is ready to step in on short notice at any time. Kulshin trains at Kill Cliff gym and has steadily built his resume in the developmental LFA promotion.
