Dan Ige is apparently considering dropping to bantamweight after struggling at featherweight. In his last six fights, Ige has gone 2-4, including a first-round knockout loss to Melquizael Costa in his most recent bout. The poor run of form has prompted Ige to explore a weight class change. Moving down to 135 pounds could offer him a fresh start against new competition. Whether this move makes sense remains a question, given the challenges of cutting to a lower weight class.
