Polish light heavyweight Ivo Baraniewski has confirmed that the UFC approached him to step in as a replacement for Jan Blachowicz. Baraniewski stated that he is currently considering the option and acknowledges both the pros and cons of accepting such a high-profile fight. He described it as a huge opportunity and expressed appreciation that the UFC thought of him for the replacement slot. Baraniewski noted that this would be a tough, big fight even for his third UFC appearance. Active discussions are underway between his manager and UFC matchmaker Mick Maynard. He emphasized that his coaches are also key decision-makers in this process. Baraniewski already has a fight scheduled against Billy Elekana on June 6.
