Reinier de Ridder wants different opponent for UFC debut, expects summer return

Reinier de Ridder has ruled out an immediate rematch with Robert Whittaker at light heavyweight for his UFC debut. The former ONE Championship double champion stated he would prefer to face a different opponent in his first octagon appearance. De Ridder revealed that his next fight is scheduled for sometime this summer. He made it clear that a rematch with Whittaker is not what he wants right now, despite the possibility of the bout happening at light heavyweight.
