Azamat Bostanov, now an MMA manager, recalled his experience covering Khabib Nurmagomedov's championship win at UFC 223 eight years ago in Brooklyn. After interviewing Artem Lobov about the famous confrontation with Khabib, Bostanov was initially told by Ali Abdelaziz not to approach the team. However, Khabib intervened, saying Bostanov was "our guy" just doing his job, and welcomed him warmly. Bostanov described seeing 20-30 Dagestanis gather at the hotel to protect Khabib from potential Conor McGregor provocations. After winning the title, an exhausted Khabib still made time to photograph with everyone, allowing Bostanov to wear his championship belt. Years later, Khabib spotted Bostanov on the street and offered him a ride, demonstrating consistent kindness despite his growing fame.
