Azamat Bostanov, now a fighter manager, shared memories of Khabib Nurmagomedov's UFC 223 championship victory in Brooklyn eight years ago. Bostanov recounted how Ali Abdelaziz initially told him not to approach the team after Bostanov interviewed Artem Lobov following the famous confrontation, but Khabib intervened saying Bostanov was their guy just doing his job. He described 20-30 Dagestanis gathering at the hotel ready to prevent any provocations from Conor McGregor's team. Bostanov revealed that Zabit Magomedsharipov broke two fingers during warmup but fought anyway without telling the commission. After the event, despite being exhausted, Khabib took time to photograph with everyone, thank supporters, and talk to numerous people in his hotel room, many of whom he didn't know. Bostanov noted that even years later as champion, Khabib remained the same friendly person who would always make time for a conversation.
