Azamat Bostanov, now an MMA manager, shared memories from eight years ago when Khabib Nurmagomedov won the UFC championship at UFC 223 in Brooklyn. Bostanov recounted interviewing Artem Lobov after the infamous confrontation with Khabib, which initially angered manager Ali Abdelaziz who told him not to approach their team. However, Khabib intervened, putting his arm around Bostanov and telling Abdelaziz he was "our guy" just doing his job. Bostanov described 20-30 Dagestanis gathering at the hotel ready to prevent provocations from Conor McGregor's team. He recalled Zabith Magomedsharipov fighting with two broken fingers he didn't disclose to avoid being pulled from the card. Despite exhaustion after winning the belt, Khabib took time to photograph with fans, talk to strangers via video calls, and remained approachable. Years later, Khabib recognized Bostanov on the street and offered him a ride, demonstrating his continued down-to-earth nature despite championship success.
